This painting waited for a whole year to be finished. The bleak landscape waited all that time for me to draw the windswept tree. This piece is so reminiscent of walks in Shropshire and the Welsh Borders. It reminds me of many walks to the windswept land where the stone circle Mitchells Fold can be found, a place we have visited often, always in winter.
